All In Hand

cogito ergo blog

Miss Vicky Fri May 4, 2007

That fabulous Miss Fish has pegged me for a Thinking Blogger award, and said some awfully nice things about me and this virtual parlour of mine. Aw, shucks. I'm all blushy and everything. Especially because I haven't felt like I've been putting out particularly thoughtful content lately.... what with the election and the baby and all, I often feel like I just can't eke out the witty analysis like I used to. So it's nice to get these kudos, especially from a local blogger I admire!

The meme requires I nominate five of my favourite thinking bloggers. So difficult... 'cause there are so many interesting thinkers and writers out there.

Here goes, anyway....

Pogge, otherwise known as Peace, Order and Good Government, eh?. A group blog that puts out some of the best progressive political commentary in the Canadian blogosphere. Well, I think so, anyway.

Not Just about Cancer. The name pretty much says it all. It's heartbreaking, inspiring, funny, warm and so much more.

The Margoville Gazette. These are friends of ours whose daughter is a month older than Gordie. They crack me up. But they think a lot about the kind of parents they want to be and that really comes across in the blog. And they have a pretty awesome kid, to boot!

Blork. Thinks a lot. Loves food. Makes me laugh. What's not to like?

David Scrimshaw, especially for his quest for intereting uses for binder clips. Now that's thinking!

Looking for a house?

Miss Vicky Thu May 3, 2007

A friend of mine has decided to eschew the realtor route and is selling his house on his own - postering the area, streetside sandwich board, and so on. It's a great house in a great area, so if you're in the market, check it out here
